Hello fellow reader, my name is Michael Betancur and I am currently a freshman at FIU. I was born and raised in Miami,Fl, although the entirety of my family stems from Colombia. I like to look at myself as an adventurous individual due to all the spontaneous travel that I have taken part of. These unanticipated trips constantly delve me deeper into new cultures as well as experiences that will only mold me into a more well-rounded human being. Throughout my travels I have learned that there is always something more to what is initially taught . Because of these experiences, my mindset has evolved into one that accepts new challenges and critical reasonings within my writing which then led me to major in International Business.

Throughout my semesters at FIU, I learned quickly that writing involved more intricacies than what I initially thought of. From composing a complete piece of writing on a subject that has been freshly absorbed, to properly structuring a coherent paragraph, it seemed as though I was constantly learning something new to develop my writing style. Discovering new ways to express myself has to be one of the most rewarding feelings .
